Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Cambodian embassy in Vientiane will be open from the 29th December -2010 1st January 2011? I think that is where I will try and get a visa for Cambodia. Also not sure how long it will take to get or how much it will cost?
I would be very grateful if anyone has any info.

It can be done at the border quite quickly, i personally wouldn't bother arranging it beforehand.

As above says, Laos tourist visas are available on arrival. The three international airports and almost every land border including the one from southern Laos issue VOA in minutes.
But if you want to have the visa in advance yes the Cambodian embassy can provide one in 2 days for $20.
