Does anyone know what the fee (daily?) is for overstaying a Visa in Vietnam. Also - are there any other consequences? ie: might it affect a Visa application in the future? If anyone out there has experience of this, I'd appreciate a steer in the right direction. Weighing up time/etc needed when applying for extn during 3 days in Hoi An or just risking the overstay by 4 days option. Thanks in advance.

I'm led to believe that you'd be OK for up to 48hrs after the visa expires.

As for the 'Fine' it's a few dollars per day..........................
................worst case scenario would be imprisonment but you would have had to have done something really outrageous for that outcome!!!
