Vietnam Visa - Advice

  • thewanderer

Me and my girlfriend arrive in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh - Airport) on November 28th, flying in from KL.

We plan on spending about 10 days in Vietnam.

What kind of advice would you give us regarding obtaining our Visas for Vietnam?

Going by what others say, it might be an idea to sort it out in advance - which website is the most reliable?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi. The visa on arrival seems to be the best way, http://www.vietnam-visa.com/application-process.html is the site we used, just make sure you take all the paperwork with you on your travels and 2 passport photos. Only valid in main airports , they are listed on the website. We were there in January this year and apart from a short wait in the airport it was a straightforward procedure. Remember if you venture north Vietnam to take warm clothes, we were in halong bay in January and it was very cold. Great country tho, have fun.

Do not go through an agency or dodgy website to apply for a visa - go to the nearest embassy or consulate near you... there's also an embassy in KL - http://www.mofa.gov.vn/vnemb.my

http://www.vietnamimpressive.com/visa.html I always use this website, its the best price and service i have found so far. And i have done this alot. I just added the guide on instant messaging and i communicate through instant messaging witch is great.

All i did was send him a pic of my passport and my visa was at the airport on arrival.

Looks like a great way to get a visa for Cambodia.... You can print it out yourself after filling out the form and payment. I have always got my visa at the border between Vietnam and Cambodia, at the customs office on the Mekong river. It cost $20USD. Usually a last minute thing for me.
