Hi everyone,
I am trying to find information on the Cambodia to Laos border crossing, I will be travelling from Kratie to Pakse.
I have found a lot of information, however it is all conflicting... even the travelfish information doesnt make sense.
My question is: Is a Laos visa on arrival available at this crossing for Australians? I will be in laos for 16 days.

Yes, you can get a Lao 30-day tourist visa on arrival at the Cambodian/Laos border.

As for Lao visa, you can get visa on arrival at the airport. You do not take time to make it online. Because Lao Government had applied for getting visa on arrival at the airport. Or you can travel to Vietnam and then transit to Lao. Getting Vietnam visa on arrival is very easy. You only need apply online.
