Hi,

Just to let everyone know we did successfully cross this border in this diretion from Vietnam into Laos yesterday (Thursday 24th May 07) - no troubles at all.

Got VATACO bus from Qui Nhon in Vietnam and arrived in Pakse, Laos, safe and well. Cost was around 17 USD (250,000 dong) each.

Trip time was slow to say the least (not the 12 hours quoted) - total trip was around the 20 hour mark - arriving in Pakse around 3am but very interesting trip (including bus crew chasing and catching wild piglets along highway after dark) and amazing scenery upon entering Laos just before sunset.

Now enjoying a few Bia Lao's and chilling out.
