I am wondering where is the best place to apply for a China visa. I will be in Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and Singapore. I was reading forums and it looks like the best place is Hong Kong but I don't have an itinerary that gets me close to HK.

Will you be in Thailand at all? This is a post on getting a Chinese visa in Bangkok. Otherwise in SIngapore while you are officially supposed to be a Singaporean citizen, there is sometimes some wiggle room. See this post on getting a Chinese visa in Singapore, but it does sound a bit hit and miss.

Thank you for the suggestion. I guess I could make a stop in Thailand if needed but I will try in Phnom Penh first.
