The internet, in all its deviltry, has given me conflicting reports. Is it possible for an American to take a train from Hanoi to Beijing and enter China with a Chinese visa that was not issued in Vietnam? We will be crossing over in Dong Dang. My girlfriend’s visa will be issued in the USA and mine will be issued in Taiwan. Is it even possible to get a Chinese visa stateside if you plan on entering from Vietnam?
