Hi everyone,
Can you recommend where to get our vietnamese visas from in Pnomh Penh? We will be there for 5 days, I hope that is long enough. Do you also have a rough idea of cost?
Thanks again

The Vietnamese Embassy in Phnom Penh is a good place to start -- costs are around the US$30 mark dependent on your nationality and how quick a service you require.

We were wondering about this option also. We would prefer to get the visa in PP rather than pay 39 pounds UK and send off our passports etc but we also don't want to waste anytime or have any doubt over our onward travel.......therefore does anyone know is it a straight forward process to get a Vietnamese visa in PP or should we get one before we leave UK?
thanks!

It's exceedingly straightforward -- nothing more than filing out a form, paying the fee and returning to pick up your passport when it's complete. Some travellers opt to use a travel agent for the service, but there's no real need to in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like we will get the visas in Phnom Penh and also save ourselves quite a bit of money!

A couple more questions... We arrive on a Sat and the embassy is not open, can travel agents or guest houses help us on the days that the embassy is not open?
We leave on the Wednesday morning. Can visas be issued in 2 days? (We both have New Zealand passports)
Thanks again

Hi nzchanty
We arranged our viet visas through our hotel desk - can take 1, 2 days (cheaper if you have more time there) - just arrange as soon as you arrive - very easy and efficient.
Travel well

One more wrinkle. Does the approval letter come with the visa when using a travel agency/guest house or Vietnam Embassy in Phnom Penh?
