You do indeed have to pay US$25 to leave Cambodia but at least at Siem Reap airport you can pay by Visa or Mastercard. I'm not sure this is mentioned anywhere in the guides.

The Airport Tax is terribly expensive. I mean the e-Visa costs $25 already. They are treating all foreigners as cash cow. If you go on the Airport website, you can see that Cambodians are paying a much lower Airport Tax than foreigners, I think not quite fair for foreigners coming from poorer countries.
So travellers, make sure you have $25+ left at the end of your journey. Just in case.
