laos:
we obtained a visa for Laos in 24 hrs. at the lao embassy. we were asked to pay 40 USD each.
(we asked the reason: europeans pay more, but this person didn't speak much english)
we got our passport back and discovered we were given a 2 MONTH VISA !

Vietnam:
the visa done personally at the embassy: 35 USD, done by any travel agent or booth along Sisowath:30 to 32 USD and it takes the same 24 hrs.
