Multiple Entry Visa to Vietnam

  • cesmonde

Hi, Starting December I am starting a 3 month holiday in SE Asia, (so excited!!!) starting and ending in Bangkok. Towards the end of the trip we're planning on spending a month in Vietnam then heading up to Yunnan Province for a fortnight. We're on a tight budget so the cheapest flight I could find back to Bangkok (to fly back to Australia)was from Hanoi. So I want to leave Kunming and arrive at Hanoi via bus to fly directly to Bangkok. At this point our original 30 day Vietnam visa will have expired. I read somewhere that if you have proof that you are entering Vietnam solely to fly directly to somewhere else you do not need a new visa. Does anyone know if this is true? I'm very sorry if this seems longwinded :)
    Thanks for your help,
    Chloe
