Is it possible for tourists to cross the cambodian-vietnamese border between Snuol (Trapaeng Sre) and Loc Ninh (Road number 74)? How to do it, transportation, experiences?
I am going to come from Laos and want to go to Saigon so I thought this would be the shortest way. After that I am planning to go to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap for Thailand.
Or would it be advisable to go to PP first and make a side-trip to Saigon?
Thanks for your responses.

Just came back home yesterday.
I didn't make it. Unfortunately (or luckily...) I spent too much time in
Laos so I had to skip HCMC and went from Kratie straight to PP and further on.

Hi BoraBora,
I've read reports of the border being open -- see about 2/3rds of the way down this post for a recount of the Snuol/Loc Ninh crossing.

Thank you. I'll try it in mid-January and post my experience.
