Hello,
Does anyone know of a realiable border crossing from Vietnam into Laos that has the VISAS-ON-ARRIVAL? I saw posting that pointed out the ones of the Thailand border, so I am hoping there are some on the Vietnam border.
Last I heard, both the Nam Phao / Cau Treo and the Dansavanh / Lao Bao crossings were issuing Lao visas on arrival. 15-day visas were the standard, though there's been quite a few rumours that 30 day visa on entry are available now.
Laos do seem to have upped the visa on arrival to 30 days. I entered via The Friendship Bridge and got a 30 day visa, my parents entered via Luang Prabang airport and also got 30 days. The visa they issue at the border now is a B3 category which is the same as I applied for and received within Vietnam last time, so I don't know if they have phased out the 15day tourist visa or what.

The Frienship bridge is the main border crossing between Thailand (Nong Khai ) and the Vientiane district (Laos). Cheers!
