Hi
Am planning on travelling from top to bottom of Vietnam (poss via Laos) and wondering if you can cross from South Vietnam (say around Ha Tien) to Southern Thailand by Ferry/Boat?
Any suggestions most welcome.
Thks

I'd say its unlikely. I looked at ferries between Cambodia and Malaysia (which would cover a similar area) and they don't exist.
If you don't want to see what there is in between, I suggest flying. Air Asia flies from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok. Its fares in that part of the world are pretty cheap, and are likely to cost less than any ferry would even if there was one, not to mention the time that you would save.

Sounds sensible - cheers. Just wanted to raise the idea more than anything to see if feasible.
