Thai Immigration and Visa Stamps

    Hey all,
I have a 60 day single entry tourist visa for Thailand, and I fly into Bangkok on the 23rd. However, I was hoping to go to Laos for my first week there.

Does anyone have any experience with how strict Thai immigration is on stamping existing Visas? My hope was they would just give me the 30 day visa exempt thing so I could use my tourist visa on reentry for my longer stay.

    Any insight?
