Hi everyone
Wondering if anyone has experience overstaying a Vietnam visa by less than 24 hours? We expire on 2 December but are looking at a flight on 3 December. Travel agents in Saigon have led us to believe this should be fine, maybe incur a $5 fine.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who might be able to confirm/deny this.
Thanks

Yes, you'll be required to pay a fine on departure -- I thought the fine was $10, but could be wrong on that.

Thanks somtam. Just to clarify, is the $10 you refer to a fine or a bribe? Some have suggested it would be an amount that you would slip inside your passport when going through immigration. We are not too keen on breaking the law in Vietnam, but would be very happy to incur an official fine.
Thanks again!
