Hi thinking of enetering Thailand from Malaysia from Langkawi via the train to Hat Yai.
Is this safe as have seen reports of unrest in the deep south of Thailand?

Coming across the border via train you should have no problems. Unrest is more confined to Yala Pattani etc.I spent a little time in HAT Yai earlier this year and felt totally safe.
