Chinese Visa from Thailand or Vietnam?

    Hi All

    Our first time on the forum. Could anyone advise us if we can get a tourist visa for China from either Hanoi or Bangkok.

    We are British citizens and have looked online and it seems you must apply within your resident country but surely we're not the 1st couple to travel and decide to go to China?? Anyone managed to get it sorted out of their home country?

    Any help is welcomed
