Most direct route from Kampot to Koh Kong border

Posted by Wanderrun on 11/6/2012 at 12:24

Hello! I've been trying to research this route ( Kampot to the Thai costal border) as much as possible. I've been finding mostly outdated information or info detailing routes from Thailand to Kampot, which don't seem to be reversible. Has anyone recently completed this route and can share what they did? I'm planning to bus into Kep, then go to Kampot (staying in each town for a day) and from there straight up to the border during the following morning. This will also be during the rainy season, ...

Phnom Penh Bars for Ladies

Posted by h2onewmedia on 15/4/2012 at 21:04

There are a number of good bars in Phnom Penh that are “Lady Friendly” that is to say they are devoid of Taxi Girls and keen ladies that will try to chat up your men. Here is my suggestion for where to go drinking and partying if you are a female in Phnom Penh. Early Drinks The area around the Riverside is nice with lots of restaurants and bars for you to frequent, however don’t stray onto roads 136 or 104, which are girly bar roads. A drop into one of these bars will almost certainl ...

Charity work

Posted by Jelle on 16/5/2012 at 09:43

Hi, I'm traveling in Cambodia. I wanted to go to Vietnam, but I got robbed, and all my documents are stolen, so I can't leave the country for about 1 month. I think about doing some charity work anywhere in Cambodia for one or two weeks. I just want to do something good for some people, I don't know. I lost a lot of money from that robbery, and I don't feel like having the Backpackers life in Cambodia for another month. All tips about organizations or projects are welcome! I don't really know ...

Good Day All, About me: Solo female first time to SEA during rainy season this year. Flying round-trip to Phnom Penh and planning most/all of my travel in Cambodia. Allotted travel time is 3-weeks. Are there lodging places in or near those areas? I also wonder about the safety for the trip. I plant to have the bike trip alone. How will be the safety in the route? ...
