"the queen house villa" is a very nice guesthouse in siem reap, located just two minutes to walk to the old market, this guesthouse offers big and clean rooms. The room rates are $6,-- for fan, $8,-- for fan and hot water and $15,-- for air-con and hot water. All room rates include breakfast and bicycles. I am an expat living in PPenh for the last year and recently went to visit Siem Reap, and I would like to share my experience there. I will name the hotel I stayed at which was "The River Garden" a suggested pick from Lonely Planet. The experienced was marred by the Australian owner who insisted on telling us that it was illegal to have more than 2 people in a tuk-tuk and that it was illegal to ride motorbikes around. Newcomer in Battambang

As for those guys who stay in Battambang der is a new shop/pub with good music, food and drinks with good prices. Its called pulp. Its at street 2 1/2 Number 83. Behind chinese school.Its run by a cambodian/australian couple. They are so gentle...just go there as there is not so much to do in this town. Phone 089 691850. As I were there there were only nice funny travellers. Next time will be back. See ya ...

My friend’s Shara and me. We had great time in Siem Reap Angkor while we made reservations with Ancient Siem Reap Villa by place is fantastic, super clean, nice indoor swimming pool, reasonable price, helpful and friendly staffs. Hotel provided us by free pick up and free internet. It took us 19hrs from Bangkok to get to Siem Reap because the so called roads became rivers! We were taken in a mini bus luckily (some groups mini bus had broken down so they had to go in the back of a pick up truck) We arrived at Angkor Health Villa (a guesthouse we were taken to at 3 am)it was cheap and the rooms were okay but the next morning we decided to visit Angkor wat and the mini bus drivr and his friends took us on mopeds, he said it would be 20usd to get in and 5usd each for them. Hello! I hope this is the appropriate forum for this recommendation, but I very much want to put in a plug for Mom's Guesthouse in Siem Reap. ( I had been staying at 2 Dragons, and for an additional $1 was able to upgrade *exponentially* in quality. Seriously. No comparison.
