visas for chinese national

Posted by wiiwii on 1/11/2010 at 16:34

Hi, I'm a chinese passport holder, working in Hong Kong, and a US greencard holder, I'm planning to take the train from Bangkok to Singapore via Malaysia, for approx. 14 days. I think I can get a Thailand visa on arrival, I'm not so sure about Malaysia ? I'll also need a Singapore visa, does anybody know what constitutes as a 'local contact' to apply for eVisa, as I'll just be visiting by myself. Additionally, for VOA, is there typically a long queue that I should plan for plenty of time? I'll ...

Passport advice and Don Kralor crossing

Posted by newbiedanielle on 21/10/2010 at 15:50

Okay so I'm in Cambodia at the moment, heading shortly into Laos. When I arrived in Cambodia and got my visa the guy put it 3 pages from the back, leaving a gap of 17 pages! I have no idea why he did this but by the time he gave it back and I saw,it was already stuck down and too late to change. I still have a Laos visa and a Thailand one to get- will 3 pages be enough as I read somewhere they like you to have 3 pages after the visa they put in-which by the tinme i reach Thailand I won't have. ...

Thai visa clarification

Posted by mischiefmack on 8/9/2010 at 22:38

I am planning on heading to Thailand in October. I am a Canadian, I believe I don't need to apply for a Visa,(a trip less than thirty doesn't require a prior visa application) Is this correct? The total trip is more than 30 days, but half will not be in Thailand(exiting to go to Cambodia and Vietnam), but since we are beginning and ending our trip in Thailand, does this change things? Thank you kindly. ...

THAI TOURIST VISA Many visitors to Thailand require a tourist visa, which can be obtained at a Thai embassy/consulate in your home country or other locations including several within the SE Asia region. Usually a single entry visa is granted, but double and triple-entry visas are available at a few select offices. Tourist visa holders get either 60 or 30 days entry depending on their nationality. Each entry can be extended 30 days for 1900 baht at Thai immigration bureaus. Tourist visas are cu ...

Vietnam visa, Rush visa

Posted by berberahelen on 11/10/2010 at 16:04

What would you do if you have no more than 1 day to prepare for a trip to Vietnam? What will you do if you are in airport and suddenly find out that you are having a wrong visa and your airlines staff won't let you board? First, call us our hotline 84.904.712.081 immediately to settle their issue. We will consider your case to see whether we have enough time or not. If yes, a rush service should be applied. Meanwhile, more dollars for urgent service should be added to your billing. We will s ...

Getting a Chinese Visa in Vietnam?

Posted by petrarch1603 on 9/10/2010 at 19:03

I'm on my way to Hanoi and I would like to get a Chinese visa there. I've heard that its very difficult, which is kinda baffling considering that they share a border and that Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam. Anyone recently get a Chinese visa in Hanoi? Which tour agent did you use and how long did it take? I was planning on spending 6-8 weeks in China but I'm not hearing positive things about getting the visa in Hanoi. ...

Australia-Singapore, Malaysia- no onward ticket.

Ok..so we’ve booked flights from Darwin to Singapore with Jet star for next year. From Singapore would like to travel to Malaysia, Thailand and further SEA for a few months, backpacking. Don't intend to fly internally or buy exit/ return ticket yet as I don't know how long exactly we would like to travel. What is the likelihood to be refused to board the plane in Darwin, having no onward ticket or refused to entry Singapore, Malaysia for the same reason? (both Malaysian and Singapore embassy s ...

Arranging Cambodia visa in Thailand--scam???

Posted by yukata on 3/8/2010 at 17:17

Hey all, I wanted to post this in case anyone else had a similar experience arranging their Cambodia visa in Thailand. I have a feeling I may have been scammed but I am not sure so any feedback is appreciated. Basically I went to the Tourist Association of Thailand (TAT)and after speaking with the rep there, she told me she could arrange my visa. I opted to get it express (200B) but I was charged 1700B, which is about $55 US. I questioned the price several times because I had read on here and ...

Hi, I am stuck and would greatly appreciate some advise! I live in Greece and there is no Vietnam consulate in Greece as it is apparantly run from Italy. As a result I cannot get by Vietnam visa from there. I am planning to travel through Cambodia to Vietnam overland. Specifically i plan to arrive at the Chau Doc border crossing by boat from Phnom Pehn. I will then make my way to Ho Chi Minh CIty and will be leaving from there by airplane. I understand that I cannot apply for a Vietnam vi ...

Latest visa info into Laos from DBP

Posted by Humusking on 7/6/2010 at 02:31

As of June 7th 2010 Now, prepare your selves for the border via Tay Trang, so you don't get angry at the customs officers. There are a few unexpected charges. 1. The visa costs btw $30 to $35 mostly. As an Australian I paid $30US 2. If it's a sat or sun you have to pay an extra $1US for overtime. 3. Add another $1US for processing. 4. Add $2US if you don't have a passport size photo. (They don't actually take your picture... Go figure) 5. Then you have a 3,000kip for the stamp plus 4,000kip for ...

Hi Guys, I thought I would just post this for anyone wondering. I am in the UK and this morning recieved my visa stamped passport back from the Thai Consulate allowing me 3 entries of upto 60 days! It cost all of £8 for the postage and took 48 hours. They are currently free, and if you are visited SEA like me, and think you will be in and out of Thailand more than once, it may be worth getting this before you leave, as not only will it make customs super easy but you get double the time of ...
