Old age (2)

Luang Prabang (Laos, 2012). During a walk down the country side, I took a break at a small run-down monastery and spent a lovely half an hour with this friendly old monk. When I first saw him, he looked like a wise buddhist teacher to me. When I left him, he looked like a friendly, good-humoured grandfather. I shot portraits of both stages. The B/W portrait is my favourite, because I feel it shows his soul.
