Project 365/287. Built by King Alaung Sithu in 1144 AD, That Byin Nyu Temple is the tallest structure in Bagan (201 ft from base to filial). Its name refers to one of the attributes of the Lord Buddha which means "Omniscience," attained by Buddha upon becoming enlightened.
