Moscow Day
Moscow Day
- Moscow, Russia
I flew into Moscow from Ukraine on September 3rd. A bit disorientated and exhausted, I stayed around my cousins awesome apartment in the middle of Moscow and watched the sun set while all the neon lights lit up the city skyline advertising hotels and flamboyantly displaying river-crossing bridges. The following day I went to visit the candy onion cathedral, St. Basil's. As I approached Red Square, where St. Basil's is located, crowds started forming, music that I had heard in the distance was getting louder, and police/military were all over the place. I eventually arrived at the entrance gates for Red Square just to be disappointed by finding out that the square was shut for Moscow's birthday. Instead, I could witness the military parade, post-soviet marching bands, and hoards of people. I went back to the apartment.
