Going Fishing, Mui Ne, Vietnam

This photo was taken in Mui Ne around sunrise, as the fishing fleet had returned with the day’s catch. This young fisherman was waiting to head back out to his fishing vessel, which was moored in the bay. To get between the shore and their boats, the fishermen use amazing traditional round woven boats, like the one the boy is sitting on in this photo. The boats are rowed with a single oar.
