Thong Nai Pan Yai
Dolphin's restaurant stands out the most in this area -- its Australian and Thai owners really know how to set the mood. Several private salas are scattered around a dense jungley garden along with cool lighting and ambient music. The food here consists mostly of Italian and Greek food but is not limited to those. The Pizzeria Restaurant at Pop Bungalow on the east end of the beach makes some tasty pizzas and pasta as well. There is no shortage of Thai cuisine or seafood around here either, so don't panic. Central Cottage has a decent beach bar though the music selection is often pretty lame, and the Chai Bar on the beach next to Pen's Bungalow is the most happening night spot around. A laid-back bar in the afternoon and evening, this joint with its psychedelic decor has been known to bump the techno late into the night. Other options include Funky Buddha bar and the off-the-beach Yard Bar. There's other low key spots in the hills back off the beach -- ask around and keep your ear to the ground.

Thong Nai Pan Noi
Good Thai food is offered at the restaurants connected with each bungalow setup. The best atmosphere is offered at Baan Tapannoi who does some great barbecues every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Star Hut who has the widest selection of available cuisine includeing seafood, vegetarian dishes and an amazing dessert menu. Panviman's Sone Beach Restaurant is upscale but not too spendy and has some nicely-presented steaks and seafood. Off the beach in the village, Que Pasa T: (081) 267 2573 makes some mean Mexican food and some reason English pub grub too. The Flip Flop Pharmacy is a chilled beachfront bar that throws monthly parties and always provides good drinks and a friendly atmosphere.
