Le Grand Cafe
What we say:
Le Grand Cafe is perhaps the best people-watching spot in Siem Reap.
The open-fronted, corner restaurant looks out onto Old Market, and serves beautiful coffees and biscuits for those who'd like to spend a moment gathering their thoughts and observing the world.
The beautifully decorated interior is worth checking out too. The menu is French style, quelle surprise, and also offers a range of Khmer dishes. The coffee is excellent, though the food is perplexingly less so. Dishes on offer include sandwiches and wraps, of which the vegetarian hummus wrap is really good, pizza, burgers, pastas and classic French dishes.
They offer a very reasonable Chilean wine as the house wine, at a great price too. Le Grand Cafe is especially proud of their ice-creams, and they are delicious.
