Viroth's
Uupmarket fine Khmer cuisine
What we say:
Having eaten here several times, Viroth's stands out as the place to go if someone in your group is really petrified of Khmer food, but would like to say that they tried it.
The short menu sticks to the staples, then turns down the flavour, and the food is entirely unthreatening. This place is more expensive than elsewhere, though the setting is a very attractive open-plan, contemporary style.
It is usually full to the rafters however, mostly with tour groups, so if you're looking for an intimate night out, this might not be the place for you.
If you're looking to try some low-key Khmer food though, then this is a very good option.
