In a few short years, Miss Wong has elevated itself to institutional status.
This cocktail bar is small, friendly and, when it gets going, very lively. The cocktails are what make people come, the conversation usually makes them stay. The decor is China-chic-kitsch, a difficult balance but successfully pulled off without veering anywhere near pretension or tacky, and the staff are fabulous.
The cocktail list has been designed with an eye on local ingredients, and they're especially proud of the mango daiquiri, made with mango infused rum.
The free home-made crisps are always welcome, though if you're feeling a little more peckish, they also have a small dim sum selection.
