Our favourite for sundowners
What we say: 
Overlooking a small river emptying out onto Batu Belig beach and at the land terminus of an incredibly wobbly bamboo bridge, Warung Agung Kayu Putih is a throwback to a simpler Bali.
With basic lawn tables and chairs and a small open-air restaurant, this is a low-key hideaway at the end of a bumpy unsealed road (keep an eye out for the signs). Indonesian and international food is available, but it's really best as a place for a sundowner, as the view across the water to the beach is lovely in the late afternoon. Service is friendly, but slow in a relaxed rather than incompetent way. If we were staying in the area, this would be on our shortlist of beachside afternoon shacks to lose a few hours in.
