What we say: 
Bonsai is one of the best spots on the beach for free WiFi, and it's one of the few that stays open into the early hours of the morning as well.
Their secret weapon is their large bonsai garden out the back — tell the kids there are fairies living among the trees and they may be entertained for a while. Their coffee is not very good, the food slightly better — the menu is typical international fare, with a few Indonesian dishes thrown in, which are not too badly priced compared to the hotels along the beachfront. When we last ordered a creme brulee here it came without a crunchy top — the horror! Staff are friendly but will leave you alone though so this is a good spot to put in a few hours catching up on your email without feeling like you need to keep ordering from the menu. It seems to be quite popular with large Australian family groups. Sit under cover, or on the beach itself.
