Kopi Bali
Popular coffee stop
What we say:
Kopi Bali is located in the middle of nowhere — well, on the bypass road near nothing of note, anyway — and is always quite busy.
It's a popular spot for Indonesian guides to drop off Japanese couples they are showing around, as well as local Indonesians and Westerners. As you'd hope their name suggests, the coffee is excellent, from their simple cappucino through to a huge range of fancy iced ones. We're a big fan of their frozen green tea which comes with bubble tea-style bubbles but is far too easy to drink in 60 seconds flat. The food is less worthy of a diversion — their croissants can be served day-old unless you ask them not to be, the Caesar salad dressing too sweet — you get the picture. They do takeaway coffee which is something to remember if you're dashing past on your way to the airport. WiFi is 15,000 rupiah/hour and is quite reliable, but it's free up the road at La Tartine.
