Cat and Fiddle
Reliable pub grub
What we say: 
The long-running Cat and Fiddle appears like it's trying to be an upmarket version of the Trophy Pub right across the road, but it falls short.
It is very well regarded for it's live music — we were once given an earful here (from another customer) for daring to attempt to have a conversation while the band played.
As with the Trophy Pub across the road, the Cat and Fiddle provides no nonsense food and drink at good prices, but eschews the sport aspect which so many visit the Trophy Pub for.
Overall this isn't a bad place if you want a drink and eat some reasonable pub-grub.
