Clear Cafe

Fresh and delicious

What we say: 4 stars

After a fire sadly demolished their earlier location on Jalan Hanoman, Colourful Clear Cafe has found a spectacular new home over a few split levels right near the Campuhan bridge. (Their website still has the pix of their old place.) The new digs are less design-y and more relaxed -- leave your shoes with the shoe valet at the front -- with a welcome in flowers spelled out to tell us "Today is a new beginning" on our last visit. The menu is extensive, with a focus on the healthy -- start with an infused water, elixir, mylkshake or power drink, maybe try the raw sprouted granola for breakfast, or for lunch the menu traverses the Middle East, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico and India. There's raw, macro and a kids' menu -- plus we're also big fans of their desserts. The slice of chocolate ice cream cake - made with cashews - was so big we (almost) couldn't finish it. Focus is vegetarian with some fish options. Sit at a table or on cushions on a seating platform. Prices are very reasonable for the quality provided. Recommended.
