A taste of Solo tradition
What we say: 
Specialising in Central Java dishes, Ayem Adem is well known by locals and well loved as a spot to stop for lunch or dinner. The large dining room is adorned with black and white pictures of the Solo of old and is especially popular for big group dinners. The dishes on the menu draw on tradition in this restaurant which has been running since 1969. Here you can find nasi liwet, nasi langgi and other filling traditional rice dishes. The fried chicken is also very popular. The drinks and desserts list is extensive, with juices and super sweet es desserts. Meals should set you back around 15,000 to 20,000 rupiah. A little way from the main section of town, this restaurant can be easily accessed by becak (pedicab).
