What we say: 
Cafe Batavia is a typical tourist cafe in the heart of a typical tourist district and is priced accordingly.
The food here is tasty, but nothing special, and the cocktail selection is impressive. The main reason to visit is to gaze at the magnificent interior of the fabulous building in which the cafe is housed.
The atmospheric two-storey building has high ceilings, wooden floors and huge wooden-framed windows through which light bursts through.
This is a great place for lunch, but will be too expensive for many budget travellers.
