Yut Kee
Independent and characterful
What we say:
One of the few remaining independent cafes (and probably living on borrowed time) is the characterful Yut Kee.
In the business since 1928, Yut Kee is still run by the same family that kicked things off all those years ago and the menu has barely changed since. Apart from coffee which you could stand a spoon in, Yut Kee is famous for its pork dishes, kaya, marble cake, and above all the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
You'll find Yut Kee near the corner of Jalan Dang Wangi and Jalan Raja Abdullah just over over the Klang River in Dang Wangi. The closest LRT station is Dang Wangi on the Kelanya Jaya line, which is about ten minutes away on foot. Recommended.
