Bombay Palace
Sumptuous
What we say:
North Indian eateries tend to be rather more upmarket than their southern counterparts, with prices to match.
The Indian dining experience does not get much more sumptuous (or over the top) than at Bombay Palace, set in colonial bungalow on the edge of KLCC. It's on the pricey side, especially if you order wine, but the food is reliably good. Stand-out dishes include the butter chicken (creamy chicken curry) and the palak paneer.
Bombay Palace is at 215 Jalan Tun Razak, just to the north of the Royal Selangor Golf Club, on the other side of the road. The closest public transport is Ampang Park LRT on the Kelana Jaya line, but it is a solid twenty minute walk from there -- get a taxi.
