Twenty One turns out sophisticated fare, predominantly modern European with the odd Asian twist.

Wild mushroom risotto (slow cooked Italian rice), with oyster mushroom tempura, is just one of the imaginative offerings. But the menu has simpler non-fusion fare too, such as the steak sandwich. As an added bonus, vegetarians are well catered for.

Although not cheap, a starter, main course and dessert should still leave change from 100 ringgit. The ground floor has the feel of an upmarket restaurant, while upstairs turns into one of KL's best bars later on.

Twentyone Kitchen and Bar is on Changkat Bukit Bintang, equidistant from Bukit Bintang and Raja Chulian monorail stations.
