Nerovivo
Undeniably pleasant
What we say:
If Neroteca is for the connoisseur of proper Italian food, its sister restaurant round the corner, Nerovivo, tends towards style over substance.
It is an undeniably pleasant setting -- one of KL's very best spots for a romantic date. And the food is generally decent too, especially the pizzas. But the use of pork substitutes, like beef bacon and turkey ham, is somewhat less classy than the decor. Where possible stick to simpler combinations, with real Italian ingredients, such as the gnocchi (potato dumplings) with gorgonzola and rocket; or the dentice al forno (baked red snapper). Pricing, so long as you forgo wine, is not as eye-watering as you might imagine.
You'll find Nerovivo near Malay restaurant Bijan on Jalan Ceylon, which runs off the western end of Changkat Bukit Bintang. The closest monorail station is Raja Chulan, a ten minute walk away.
