While neither serve pork, Bar Italia gives Neroteca a run for its money when it comes to simple, well-executed Italian food.

Rather than using cheap substitutes, it concentrates on dishes which can be made with authentic ingredients. Stand-out offerings include the sharing platter of wild game cold cuts and Italian cheeses, the linguine with classic basil pesto, and the grilled spring chicken with rosemary potatoes. Reasonable pricing, understated decor, and a lovely rooftop bar, are all added points in its favour.
