El Cerdo
An unashamed porky meat-lovers paradise
What we say:
No risk of hitting the halal wall at El Cerdo, an unashamed porky meat-lovers paradise.
Although named after the Spanish for pig, this place is run by an Austrian, and turns out dishes from all over Europe. Thuringer tostbratwurst (sausage with pickled cabbage and mashed potato), may sit uneasily with pan-fired goats cheese wrapped in Serrano ham, but El Cerdo's legion of loyal customers attest to the quality of the food. Despite the rustic nature of the menu, this is not a cheap place by any means.
El Cerdo is on Changkat Bukit Bintang, a five to ten minute walk from Bukit Bintang and Raja Chulian monorail stations.
