Xing Hua Vegetarian Restaurant
Hand-made noodle heaven
What we say:
Xing Hua does such amazing things with mushrooms and tofu you won't miss the meat in their South Chinese dishes.
The handmade xinghua noodles are the signature dish and, even without the generous portion of stir-fried veggies and mock seafood, make a filling meal for just S$3.50. Attempts at vegetarian fried chicken and shark's fin soup are less convincing. Dishes are prepared without any MSG and there's fresh fruit juice to wash it all down. Xing Hua has a second location with a smaller menu at 52 Smith Street in Chinatown.
