Good Morning Nanyang Cafe
Traditional and cheap
What we say:
Try this hidden Chinatown gem for a local-style cuppa brewed the traditional way and strained through a (clean) sock.
The menu may be small, but everything from the raisin scones to the creamy kaya spread (coconut egg jam) is house-made. Good Morning Nanyang is best known for their crispy ciabatta toast baked with a hint of orange flavour — get it as a set with soft-boiled eggs and coffee for a hearty breakfast that'll cost you less than S$5.
