Xi Yan Private Dining

Almost in the home of a celebrity chef

What we say: 4 stars

Tucked away in an inconspicuous shophouse near Chinatown, Xi Yan is as close as most people will ever get to dining in the home of a celebrity chef.

All meals are by reservation only and chef Jacky Yu plans the menu around whatever's fresh at the market that day. The cuisine is fundamentally Chinese with some fusion flair and the multi-course meal may include pan-seared scallops with noodles, lobster with house-made chilli sauce, and basil sorbet for dessert.

As you might have guessed this can be a pretty expensive meal — allot $50 for lunch and $150 for dinner per person before drinks.
