Tampopo
Go for the ramen
What we say:
Though the huge menu covers everything from Japanese curry to sushi, Tampopo has made a name for itself with its ramen.
This noodle soup is nothing like the stuff you forced down in college or uni and has rich broth, springy noodles and generous portions of meat or seafood. Their signature soup is the black pig ramen and the pork bones are boiled for two days to develop the intense flavours. Tampopo's reasonable prices get even better during lunch when a complete meal with soup, main, and desserts starts from S$13. As good as the food is, service is just so-so.
