Crazy Elephant

Even if it weren't the only live music bar at Clarke Quay the Crazy Elephant would still be the best.

The resident blues band takes the stage at 22:00 and on weekends the soulful songs draw such a crowd the bar overflows and people line the Singapore River to listen. Once the music starts even a basic bottle of beer will set you back S$12, but bear in mind you're also paying for the entertainment. Rock stars passing through town have been known to make an appearance and, even if you're not famous, you can join the jam session every Sunday night.
