Fantastic food
What we say: 
David Thompson is the saviour of Thai cuisine/destroying Thai cuisine. It all depends on who you are talking to.
Traditionalists argue that non-Thais could never understand enough about Thailand to be an excellent Thai cook, while modernists consider that since Thai chefs have been able to master French and Italian cuisines, maybe it wouldn't hurt to take a peek into David's kitchen?
Where ever one fits on the debate spectrum, it has to be admitted that Chef Thompson is bringing some fantastic food to the table. The restaurant is beautiful. Its clean lines and open spaces give a fluidity to the place that really fits well with its location, being tucked back in with the Metropolitan Hotel.
The food is not cheap, but the tasting menu (seven to nine courses, depending on what's being served) is a great value for the money at 1800 baht per person. Highly recommended.
