BKK Bagel Bakery

The real deal

What we say: 4 stars

New York-style BKK Bagel gets bagels right. Baked fresh every day, the bagels are large, doughy and come with that heavenly bagel aroma.

For those of you unfamiliar, bagels are doughnut shaped pieces of dough that are boiled before they are baked to give them a chewy, insanely satisfying texture.

They come in several varieties, including standards like wholewheat and sesame, and cost 35 baht each with cream cheese 30 baht extra.

The cafe also serves delicious bagel sandwiches from 150 to 225 baht with a choice of smoked salmon and a range of veggies and hummus, to name a few. We're partial to the Show Stopper, which blends roasted turkey, avocado spread, bacon, cheese and mustard. Get there early, as the bagels are often snapped up before the late afternoon.

The clean urban-style cafe feels like it fell here straight out of an American city. Coffee and juices are also available.

The bakery is located right off the Chid Lom BTS station on the side of the Maneeya Centre, right next door to the Kipling store.
