The Bull's Head

A great British pub

What we say: 4 stars

With hard wood floors, brass fittings, and a long bar with draft handles lining the back, The Bull's Head definitely looks the part of a British Pub.

It won the award of Best British Pub in Thailand in 2010 for good reason: it has friendly, good-natured staff, a congenial atmosphere, and cold, cold beer.

Wednesday night features classic pub quiz and all-day 100-baht Tiger beer pints. Happy hour specials run every afternoon from 16:00 - 19:00. The Bull's Head has a good selection of draft beers from Britain, including Boddington's, Dwyres, and Stowford Press Cider as well as European drafts Hoegaarten, Kronenbourg and Heineken, as well as the local brews.

For those who miss Blighty's culinary traditions, there is well prepared British pub fare like fish and chips, toad in the whole with onion gravy, and cottage pie. Roast dinners available The Bull's menu is relatively lengthy and features some Thai food and Italian dishes, but punters would be well advised to stick with what would be found under the Union Jack.

Regional pints from 180 bath, plates from 180 - 350 baht. Free WiFi.
